Students, class is now in session
The first day of school was yesterday. It wasn't so bad, not like my first day last semester. I have 4 classes on Mon and Wed and 3 on Fri and 1 on Tues and Thurs. Of course, some of those are repeats. I only have 4 classes, not 12. That would be too much homework. It is funny though, we haven't had rain since I have been here, and then, the first day it rains. Weird New Mexico weather. This semester will not be as easy as last. Between work and school, it will be a little harder to manage my time. It is nice working on campus because I am right there with my classes, it makes things so much easier. I already have an English paper due that was assigned on the first day. It is about my English history. What I write, have written, read, and so on. I will probably talk about this site in it. I do a lot of writing on it you know. I guess I could call writing this post a warmup since I am writing this instead of my paper.
My professors this semester seem all right. A little too early to tell how good they are. I really liked the ones I had last semester. They were really nice people, and were there to help. For one of my classes I won't meet with it again until the 26th. That professor had a conference to go to in New Zealand. Which in a way is a good thing, because I still don't have a book for that class. Normally I buy my books early, because on this campus (as I am sure on all others) the lines in the bookstore are just sickening. I bought most of my books early, but for my C++ programming class (the one I won't be at until the 26th) the book is sitting in a warehouse somewhere. I think are trying to force me to wait in line. I have always been lucky waiting in lines here. I haven't really had to do to much of it.
I received my first real paycheck today. Yeah!
Spaceports, my web host is no longer free. Sad thing, but hey, they have to pay the bills. It costs $20 a year for 20MB or $30 for 100MB or $40 for 500MB. Not a bad deal I think. It isn't monthly, it is yearly. So they deactivated all the free accounts there. I get to keep mine since I paid to have the advertisements removed. What is neat, is that ever since they removed the non-paying sites there are less sites hosted by them. So now, I am in the Top 20 for the entire host. I have been getting several hits from that page, so it is nice. I like my host, it suits me well.
