July 2002

I won't be making updates to the site in a while. Probably for 2 to 3 weeks tops. Why? I have 595 links in my Internet Explorer favorites and 244 wallpapers that I still have to optimize (Image Optimizer). After I sift through all of this then I will have a fresh list of sites to add in the links section and cleaner hard drive. I still will post here. But no additions to rest of site for a couple of weeks.
Cheers

He called it then and it is happening now. If you would rather listen to it click here.

~Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance~

I
Me; an individual; a committee of one.

Pledge
Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity.

Allegiance
My love and my devotion.

To the Flag
Our standard; Old Glory ; a symbol of freedom; wherever she waves there is respect, because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts, "Freedom is everybody's job."

United
That means that we have all come together.

States
Individual communities that have united into forty-eight great states. Forty-eight individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries, yet united to a common purpose, and that's love for country...America

And to the Republic
Republic--a sovereign state in which power is invested in representatives chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people; and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people.

For which it stands

One Nation
One nation--meaning, so blessed by God.

Indivisible
Incapable of being divided.

With Liberty
Which is Freedom; the right of power to live one's own life, without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation.

And Justice
The principle, and qualities, of dealing fairly with others.

For All
For All--which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine.

And now, boys and girls, let me hear you recite the Pledge of Allegiance:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic, for which it stands; one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country, and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance: Under God. Wouldn't it be a pity if someone said that is a prayer, and that would be eliminated from schools, too?

Quoted from this page: "Red Skelton was a great comedian, Shrine Clown, and human being. We could all learn a lot from him. A "Pledge" is something to take seriously, as he points out. Another pledge he obviously KEPT was to make people smile... in his memory, we should strive to do the same."

Just to keep you abreast of the situation. I recently updated the left nav bar to a different layout. I don't like it any longer so I will change it. I also came up with an idea to help *you* get more traffic to *your* website. I will be adding a section to the left where you can add your own button images along with your site being put on my link exchange page. Basically your site will be added to that page and your site will rotate with others on the left side of my page indefinately. What do I mean by that? As long as my link is on your page, your link will be on my page. I will also be updating my credits page with some site promo services that I use.

Notice any new saying in the random text above? I added a couple hundred after sifting through 60,000 of them. I will add about 500 more bringing the total up to 959 different quotes/crazy sayings/stupid remarks.

After I add a privacy policy page and restructure the planes section, I will add the site map.

God Bless!

I decided to post this because I thought a lot of you might be in the same situation I was. What am I talking about? Searching for a reliable web host. Here is what makes Spaceports great.
***unlimited space
***up to 5 GB of transfer for your site per month
***your own cgi-bin
***PHP scripting
***MySQL database support
***helpful user forums and real-time support chat rooms
The best part of all this? It's FREE! But free does come at a cost, you do have to show their ads. But if you pay $20.00 a YEAR you can remove those ads. Most pay places charge that much a month. You can learn more by visiting their home page or this FAQ. Sorry if I sounded like a salesman and I am no way affiliated with them aside from using their services. I just wanted to tell you because I love them so much.

[Update 2/22/04: Spaceports is no longer offering a free service. They have very reasonable yearly rates. I am talking about $30 a year now.]

MIB II is cool and funny.

Since my blogger crisis is over (for now anyway) I decided to post more often. Well this is the fruit of my effort. (Where did that come from?) It hasn't been a busy day, woke up at noon, then proceeded to the couch. I layed there watching tv, then moved on to the computer. I have been here since. It's early in the morning now and I have nothing better to do that type. Bed? Naah, that isn't any fun.

One thing that sticks in my mind was watching O'Reilly vs. Hollywood. I'm only 17 and interested in politics. How sad is that? Actually it is an important thing, everybody needs to be interested. Don't you want a say about what happens to your country? The % of people that actually vote disgusts me. Speaking of voting this site is really great. They pick certain issues, allow you to vote on them, and then they send your vote to the president or to your representative or to whomever it concerns.

Site updates. Well, I am going to be doing a couple of transparent changes to the site. Hopefully. It should reduce download times and make things easier on me. This is what I have planned for the site so far:
***Add poll to every page.
***Change links on the programs page to point specifically to that program. (Make it easier for you to find the download.)
***Add a site map. Might help if by some rare chance you get lost on the site.
***Add the Apache helicopter and F-15 plane, maybe more.
***Restructure the airplane section.
***Do the previously mentioned transparent changes.
Well, that is all for now. I might get to see MIB II tomorrow, ehh, today. I'll tell you what I think. Until next time.
