NASA's Mars rover begins risky 'deep sleep' mode
"NASA's solar-powered Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity is beginning on Thursday what controllers expect to be frequent use of an overnight ''deep sleep'' mode to stretch the robot's power supply. Opportunity has managed only one to two hours of activity on many recent days while it has been examining a stadium-sized impact crater from vantage points around the rim. Shutting down more completely overnight will conserve enough battery charge to add several hours of science operations during the day, according to Jim Erickson, Mars Exploration Rover deputy project manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif."

Progress 14 Arrives at Space Station
"It wasn't Christmas in May, but it might have been the next best thing. An unpiloted Russian cargo craft smoothly linked up to the International Space Station Thursday morning, delivering 2.5 tons of food, fuel, water, equipment and supplies to the two crewmembers."

Dreams
While I was spending some time away from home with my parents I was having weird dreams every single night.

Dream #1
Deep underground in the bowels of the earth there was a secret lab with an individual. One, who couldn't move. If he did, he would die. It was a strange and rare disease. He had to be suspended on a bed. The scene was similar to that scene in the first Matrix Movie when Neo was having his muscles stimulated. Except they were completely surrounding his body and keeping him from laying on the bed. If he did the bruises would kill him. In the lab they were doing research to cure him. I was just an observer during the dream.

Dream #2
I have never been to England before until I had this dream. I ended up staying in a small hotel, but driving was a nightmare. Think twenty lane freeways twisting and turning in and out of each other. I doubt the real England is like that.

Dream #3
I was taking some finals, but we were in a huge room with several tables. It was less than a quarter full with people. There were probably 200 tables in the room. I was trying to take my final but my brother was sitting right next to me harassing me and bothering me. I ended up flunking the final because I kept getting sidetracked.

I have updated the mylinks pages and the credits pages. Please check out the credits pages. There is a lot of webmaster utilities and tools there that have helped me a lot and I think would help a lot of other people as well.

Update(3/18/06): I took the credit pages off the site.

6 Friends die
Today 6 of my closest, dearest friends died: Ross, Monica, Rachel, Chandler, Phobe, and Joey. They were the funniest of all my friends.

Ok, so they didn't really die, and they were not really my closest friends. However, I do like the TV show. Today was the day that they stopped, the actors move on with their lives, and somehow America will have to move on without them. I don't know how it will be done, but we are strong and we will prevail. So farewell guys, it has been fun.

The Procrastinator's Creed
I thought is fitting to post the procrastinator's creed due to this week being the second to finals week on campus.

1. I believe that if anything is worth doing, it would have been done already.
2. I shall never move quickly, except to avoid more work or find excuses.
3. I will never rush into a job without a lifetime of consideration.
4. I shall meet all of my deadlines directly in proportion to the amount of bodily injury I could expect to receive from missing them.
5. I firmly believe that tomorrow holds the possibility for new technologies, astounding discoveries, and a reprieve from my obligations.
6. I truly believe that all deadlines are unreasonable regardless of the amount of time given.
7. I shall never forget that the probability of a miracle, though infinitesmally small, is not exactly zero.
8. If at first I don't succeed, there is always next year.
9. I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.
10. I shall always begin, start, initiate, take the first step, and/or write the first word, when I get around to it.
11. I obey the law of inverse excuses which demands that the greater the task to be done, the more insignificant the work that must be done prior to beginning the greater task.
12. I know that the work cycle is not plan/start/finish, but is wait/plan/plan.
13. I will never put off until tomorrow, what I can forget about forever.
14. I will become a member of the ancient Order of Two-Headed Turtles (the Procrastinator's Society) if they ever get it organized.
