At first I thought, if I were Superman, a perfect secret identity would be "Clark Kent, Dentist," because you could save money on tooth X-rays. Doctor gives patient lobotomy with ice picks through the eye sockets!

A dark chapter of medical history. This site hosts a documentary and additional information about Howard Dully and his lobotomy at age 12. The doctor performed the lobotomy with an extremely crude medical technology - the icepick! Definitely worth a listen.
