Spam
I'm playing with my guestbook. I decided to remove the captcha and instead query IP Addresses against Project Honey Pot. After 2 days, and about 50 spam entries later, I gave up on that idea. Project Honey Pot blocked more than half, but there was just way too many people getting through. So right now, the captcha is back. Whenever I get this stupid blogging software finally done, I'll use it for comments as well. If it becomes a problem, then I will add the captcha there as well.

Trains, Planes, and ... No Wait, Just Trains
So, my brother and I found this old, dusty, weird train. It was right in the middle of our city. It was in a large old multi-story building. We have something super secret that we don't want anybody to know about, so we decided to store it in this old train. We started up the train and for some reason we were standing on the tracks. It started coming straight for us. We were running around on the tracks trying to escape it until it took a quick turn and just missed us. Anybody ever ride Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland or Disneyworld? Exactly. It was quite possible the most terrifying experience I have ever had. (Not the ride, the train chasing me on the track.)

So finally we got the train stopped and lowered it down on the train elevator to the basement. (I didn't know those existed.) We unhooked the passenger cars, stored away our booty...I mean our items and brought the train back up to the ground floor.

Then, my brother and I got an idea? Why not start a passenger train service for our city and surrounding ones. We could make a little money, and provide a much needed service. Well, we couldn't use the passenger, box cars; they were, uh, being utilized. So we opted to just use the open cars, convertible style. We stuck a bunch of freight on the end and began our service.

People are stupid.

Nobody listens to authority anymore. They don't follow rules or keep order. I mean, we had the train moving, and one Woman and her little kid started jumping from car to car. I couldn't believe it. What is wrong with people?

Then, I woke up.

Amazon Affiliates
Well, I'm trying out something new right now. If you see any links like this and then it links to Amazon. I might put in pertinent normal links to Amazon. Anyways, just something I thought I would try out. I might change my mind. I can do that. I still want to move from blogger, but I want to try to keep the permalinks the same.

Peace Out

Bored - Nothing to Do!
Has anybody read Bored - Nothing to Do!? I used to read this book when I was a kid. It has good illustrations and a neat story too. Two brothers are bored and have nothing to do. So they decide to build an airplane. They do and they fly it around. Practically scaring their parents to death. Anyways, it just popped into my head. Good book for kids.

Turn Yourself Into a Simpsons Character

Absolutely brilliant! Good fun to Simpsonize (potentially former) friends, family, and colleagues - And create your very own unreal-life Simpsons episode... A tip - it kept falling over when I tried to download the picture, and just failed for eternity. So, take a screen capture (press the "Prn Scrn" key), and then ctrl+V into photoshop.

Vegas Baby - Yeah!
Well last weekend I went to Las Vegas. It was the first time that I have ever been. The first night we saw Star Trek: The Experience at the Las Vegas Hilton. That night we saw Blue Man Group. That was awesome.

The following night we saw Cirque du Soleil's Ka. Many accolades to the performers of that show, but to me the most impressive thing was the set. Huge and moves about on 3 axis.

Other than that we mostly just wandered around to the various Hotels and Casinos. Lost some money to Roulette and Slot Machines, of course you can't really win on those, but we just had some fun.

Drupal to Scratch
The other day I mentioned that I would be moving to Drupal. I changed my mind. I can do that. I'm going to do my own blogging software. Partly because it will be more fun and partly because Drupal is way overkill for my needs. I really like Drupal, but I don't want to move my entire site over to it.

Indian (Non-Native American) Food
Indian (Non-Native American) food. Not common, at least not common around these here parts. *recover from strange involuntary accent* Anyways, every city has Mexican, Italian, and Chinese food. As far as I know, Indian just doesn't seem that common, nor does German or African. (I fully realize that Africa is a continent and that the food varies greatly from country to country.) Where are all the Moroccan restaurants? I guess the reason being, like any other, is historical. We just didn't have a huge immigration influx from those countries into this one.

I ate food from all those countries, except Indian, at Disneyworld. I liked it all, except the Moroccan. I think I was just having a bad day when we ate at the Moroccan place though. Anyways, we have a few Indian places around here. I think the biggest reason is that we have a large Indian population on a count of the University.

Regardless, I like the food, although I tend to stick to the sweeter things. Today I had Tropical Fruit Chicken.

Drupal to Disneyworld
One of these days I'm going to move to Drupal. Blogger is great, but it seems that their primary focus is for BlogSpot users, leaving out all of us who FTP to our own server. The downside is that all the permalinks that I have been using won't work anymore.

In other news, I got back from Disneyworld a couple of weeks ago. It was a fun trip, but very hot and humid. I received blisters the size of acorns. Next time, I think I will buy some Crocs and see how well those works out.

The first day we went to the Animal Kingdom. My least favorite ride was Expedition Everest. It was fun, but I got a little sick on it. My favorite ride was Kali River Rapids. When I went to Disneyland when I was about 6 years old we got on something similar and everybody got wet except for my brother. This time around I was the only one to not get wet. You are in a large raft and you go over a geyser in the beginning. This got my brother wet with my parents (who were sitting across from him laughing). However, they didn't realize that we were now on top of the geyser and as we continued along it came up right after we passed it and soaked both my parents. I've never seen someone go from laughing to crying so fast like my mom. She looked like a wet cat.

The next two days we went to Epcot. There we got to go to the World Showcase. Its neat to see all the different countries and buy souvenirs from them. Its probably as close as you can get to the real thing without actually being there. At the American Adventure there we had the Voices of Liberty, an a cappella group dedicate a song to my parents. The main reason for going to Disneyworld was to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary. We wanted to see the show American Adventure, but were disappointed as they were refurbishing it at the time. Test Track was my favorite ride there. It goes up to 65 mph on an outdoor track.

Disney-MGM Studios was next on the list. They had some great rides including The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show, and of course the classic Star Tours.

The following day we went to the Magic Kingdom. There we had a lot of fun with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. We bought a picture of the Splash Mountain picture to go along with our original one from Disneyland 16 years ago.

Lastly we went to Downtown Disney where the main highlight of the show was Cirque du Soleil - La Nouba.

That about sums it up. It was a fun trip and hopefully I will get to go back again some time.
